I Heart Rohnert Park (February 8, 2020)
On February 8, 2020, City staff hosted a General Plan booth at I Heart Rohnert Park. Event participants could read about results of the alternatives process and what to look forward to in the General Plan Elements that will be coming soon! Participants also had the opportunity to spin the prize wheel and leave comments about what they hope to see in the community. Comments focused on a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, restaurants and shopping options, community events and parks, affordable housing, and traffic issues. Farmers' Market (June 7, 2019)
On June 7, 2019, City staff hosted a General Plan booth at the weekly farmers' market. Attendees were asked to give input on four topics: conservation and open space, health and safety, economic and community development, and circulation. The event was a major success - more than 70 people stopped by to give input!
Founder's Day (October 6, 2018)
On October 6, 2018, City staff hosted a General Plan booth at the annual Founder's Day Celebration. A Mad Libs-style activity was pinned up, and people were encouraged to fill in the blanks with words that represented assets, values, and adjectives they felt best described Rohnert Park.
Farmers' Market (August 10, 2018)
On August 10, 2018, City staff hosted a General Plan booth at the weekly farmers' market. It was intended to capture the attention of Rohnert Park residents, pique their interest in participating in the General Plan process, and to include farmers’ market visitors in the overall General Plan visioning process. The main feature of this booth was a large pin-up sheet where people could share their vision for Rohnert Park.
